Tuesday November 28, 2017: ROUND TABLE DISCUSSION where stakeholders from various sectors of the society developed actions plans for the actualization of the campaign’s 3-point agenda.
A WALK TO SAVE GENERATIONS
Wednesday 14th March 2018: A WALK TO SAVE GENERATIONS & UNVEILING OF CAMPAIGN BILLBOARDS. Road Walk to sensitize residents of Port Harcourt on the dangers of Drug and Substance Abuse. The Society also unveiled sensitization billboards at Rivers State University round about, University of Port Harcourt Junction, Choba and have identified 4 more spots in the state where more of these boards need to be erected.

March 26 – April 3, 2018: PSN Sponsored seven members for a training on the first two modules of United State Department of States recognized Universal Treatment Curriculum (UTC) for Substance Use Disorders organized by the Colombo Plan for addiction professionals which held at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Yaba, Lagos State. This was aimed at increasing the expertise and competencies of Pharmacists in providing the needed sustained support.

What We should know
DSARC is a prompt response of the Rivers State Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria to the daunting menace of Drug and Substance Abuse in Nigeria, particularly in Rivers State.
To develop strategies to reduce the availability and distribution of illicit drugs through multi-stakeholder collaborative effort.
To promote greater public awareness of the dangers of drug and substance abuse.
Provide Sustained Support for persons with Substance Use disorders.
